robert & katie
The story of Veenow began in 2020 when Katie's mum, Joan suggested planting a vineyard due to Robert and Katie's love of wine. In 2021 the first field of vines was planted with Pinot Noir and Bacchus.
In 2023 Robert and Katie decided to expand the vineyard and planted another two fields of Chardonnay, Cabernet Noir, Meunier whilst expanding the Pinot Noir and Bacchus vines, totalling 40 acres, the largest vineyard in Shropshire.
Katie is WSET Level 2 and at the forefront of communications of Veenow.
Robert you will find mainly in the vineyard managing the growing season of the vines and ensuring superb quality grapes are grown to produce the exquisite still wines of Veenow.
"crafting elegance in every drop."
Veenow
Our vineyard name and logo represents our family name and our love of producing wine. The V in place of Greenow, symbolises the growth of the vines in the vineyard, growing double guyot. A family and vineyard in harmony with the environment producing exquisite quality wine.

Beginning
We bought the 162 acre arable farm 9 years ago in Shropshire and had a vision to turn around the farm into a successful enterprise. We are very passionate about wine after travelling much of Europe and the vineyards it is home to, particularly Italy and France. After making some good friends with top wineries we decided it was time to grow and produce our own quality wine.
Our other passion is in sustainability and looking after our planet, after producing renewable energy for the last 10 years. The vineyard and our wine is now certified sustainable by Wine GB.
"A family business, caring for our world is our world."
"In the heart of Shropshire, our vision has turned into our reality."
"ensuring the protection of our planet for the next generation."
